Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian performer, actress and dancer born on July 22, 1983. She was born in Sydney Australia. Sharni Vinson debuted as an actor in 2001, when she portrayed the role of a woman in Home and Away, a soap-opera in Australia. In the small role she was in the acting of her was such that the casting director wanted to have her play each of the roles. The actress was able to audition, but not get the role. The same show, Cassie Turner was chosen as a troubled teenage girl living in foster care. Both critics and fans alike have praised the role.
