Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford, as she's most commonly referred to as, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the women-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. It wasn't possible for the band to be popular in America, however they did gain a fair amount of acclaim in other nations and in particular Japan. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo performer after the band split up in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her album Out for Blood. Ford went missing for several years from the music scene following the albums' failure to receive any attention. The smash-hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her greatest hits. The popularity of her was brief, and she went under the radar for a couple of years.
