Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress who is well-known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage performer in the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Later, in 1956, she made her big break in the stage on Broadway along with Li'l abner. Her album, It's too late for Tina that same year. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. The year 1964 saw her signing with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career with ease in between Broadway TV and Hollywood playing somber characters contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary but she also was a successful television director with various series like Supernatural and The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived there since then.
