Lita Rossana Ford is born in Britain and was an American musician, singer as well as music writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was a lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. While the group did not achieve much success in America but they enjoyed huge popularity internationally. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the breakup of her band in 1979. She took vocal lessons and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Her re-emergence was with the albums "Black" in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years following. Her most recent album 'Time Capsule was released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
