Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. The band was never able to The Runaways to become popular in America, however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a solo artist after the group split up in 1979. Following vocal training, she launched her debut solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. She returned with a bang with her smashing hit album 'Lita which was released in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Sadly, her fame was short-lived and she remained absent from the music industry for many decades. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she reemerged. Her most recent album 'Time Capsule was launched in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
