Lita Rossana Ford (also also known as Lita Ford) is an British born American singer on guitar who took the role of lead singer for The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. They were noticed for their rebellious lyrics and punk-inspired fashion. The group was not able to achieve major success on the scene in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. The band broke up in 1979 Ford began a successful solo career in heavy metal. After receiving voice lessons, she released her debut self-titled album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin in the Edge". In 1995, she dropped "Black," and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. 2016 saw the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
