Lita Rossana Ford (also commonly referred to by the name Lita Ford) is an British born American guitar vocalist who played as the lead vocalist of The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. They were noticed for their rebellious lyrics and punkish style. The group wasn't popular within the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a heavy-metal solo musician after the group broke up from 1979. She began to take voice lessons and then released her first album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford went missing for several decades from the world of music as the two albums failed to receive much attention. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in the year 1988. The lead track "Kiss Me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. Her success was unfortunately short lived and for several additional years she was absent. She re-emerged after the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' almost 15 years later. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
