Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford is an American guitar player and singer born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls from the 1970s. Their punkish music and raunchy lyrics made them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention on the scene in The United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a heavy-metal solo performer after the band split from 1979. She began taking voice classes and then released her first album "Out For Blood" and then "Dancin" in the Edge. Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford just vanished from the world of rock for a few years. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she was absent in the world of music for many years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later she reemerged. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
