Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is more commonly known, was an American-born British guitarist and singer who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. While the group did not have much success in the United States however they became extremely popular internationally. This was especially true in Japan. After the band split in 1979, Ford started a lucrative solo career in heavy metal. She began voice lessons, and released her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford went missing from the music scene for a few years following her albums didn't be a huge success. It was 1988 when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". Both the song "Kiss me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. However, the success of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years, she was absent. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' nearly 15 years after. The most recent album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016.
