Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known as, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the women-only hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band didn't have much of a following within The United States. However, their popularity grew overseas especially in Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and successful career as a solo artist after the group split together in 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford vanished for some years from the music scene after the two albums didn't draw the attention they deserved. In 1988, Ford returned to the world of music by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. However, her fame was brief, and she went under the radar for a few years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she reemerged. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
