Lita Rossana Ford (also also known as Lita Ford) is an British born American singer on guitar who took the role of lead singer for The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. The group was admired for their provocative songs and punk-rock design. The group did not have any fans within the United States. However, their popularity grew overseas, particularly in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo musician after the group broke up together in 1979.
