Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. It wasn't possible for the band to be popular in America, however they did gain a fair amount of popularity in other countries, especially Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group ended in 1979. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' on the Edge and was followed by the Album Out for Blood. Ford's albums were not very well-received and she stayed away for a few years. The year was 1988, when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly was a big hit, as were the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't last long and after a few years she disappeared. Re-emerging with releases of "Black" which came out in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
