The tall and athletic Catherine Bell was born in London, England, but she moved from London to Los Angeles with her mother while she was in the midst of growing up. While she planned to study pre-medicine in college, Bell dropped out to pursue modeling as a profession in Japan. After a brief stint in commercials after which she returned into Los Angeles to guest star on TV as well as to appear in a few small-scale film roles. Isabella Rosellini hired her in 1992 as her bare physical therapist. In the filming of the show, Death Becomes Her she got to know Adam Deason (her future husband). She expressed her interest towards the directors of JAG which airs on NBC following a brief guest appearance. She joined JAG in 1996 after it moved from CBS to CBS. The role she played was that of Major Sarah"Mac" Mackenzie. Commanding Officer Harmon "Harm" Rabb (David James Elliott). The real-life experience she gained as a snowboarder and kickboxer have led her to perform physically demanding roles in action films Men of War Crash Dive as well as Black Thunder.
