Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is popularly known as was an American born British musician and vocalist who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. Although the band was not successful in The United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford started a metal solo career when the group ended in 1979. She took vocal lessons and then released her debut solo album , 'Out For Blood' then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and disappeared from the world of rock for an entire decade. The smash-hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her biggest hits. However, her success was only not long-lasting and, for a few additional years she was absent. Then she returned with the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland almost 15 years later. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," released in 2016.
